I recently had the opportunity to design 2 books on tight turn around. I design a book every few years, so it was interesting to have these 2 overlap, but both projects turned out great and I had the chance to meet some great new people along the way. Sometimes when jobs get handed to you the timing isn’t perfect, so you wait and ponder… perhaps the project is out of your comfort zone! But if you don’t that that chance, you’ll miss it. There is always another person waiting for that project, so take it and run.

This summer we were at Crater Lake, OR camping and decided to make a run for the sunset. We wanted to get to the most east Rim of the lake for the best view and weren’t sure how long it would take us. We went for it and luckily, we made it and it finished off one of the best days of the summer. So I guess that’s the lesson… don’t wait too long or that special opportunity to do something or see somethng great will be gone.
