I realized early on in 2024, that it was going to be a different type of year. In January I experienced severe knee pain and realized my artherits was advancing. By early summer my knee was totally blown out and despite efforts to manage pain, it was decided that a full knee replacement was needed. I hobbled around Greece late summer and prepared for surgery on Haloween. Thanks to good docs and modern medicine the knee is healing and for that reason my word of the year is “ALIVE” because I truly have gratitude for life and mobility. Through lots of PT, I am getting back my active life. I also have immendse appreciation for all my clients who patiently waited for me to come back to work. There were so many gifts throughout this process and getting to “live alive in 2025” is the biggest one of all.
September 2024: Climbing the Acropolis in Athens to see the Parthenon with a bad knee was not easy, but it was worth it.
