The present is a gift

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift — that’s why it’s called the present” – Eleanor Roosevelt

I had the opportunity to see my youngest daughter graduate college this past weekend. It was a beautiful celebration. Each graduate in the business school had a chance to put up a quote or a thank you note to family members. It reminded me how quickly these 4 years went by and fun to see so many people reaching their goals to graduate. It made me glad that this year we decided to take a sunrise balloon ride with our daughter before it was over and we were no longer visiting here there at college. It was a very special memory for us and reminded me that we seized the moment, and didn’t let that opportunity pass. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I try to find gratitude when a chapter closes and another opens. To reach a finish line is satisfying but it’s really about making each day count.
